Front View

The function of each part is also described below. (The actual drive may be different from this design.)

  1. Indicator Light
When it is green, a disc is being read or recorded.
  2. Emergency Eject Hole
If the disc tray does not open when you press the Eject button, power off the computer, insert a pin or unfolded paper clip in the hole and push firmly.
  3. Eject Button
When the computer is on, push the Eject Button to eject the drive tray. The use of this button can be controlled by software running on your computer, which may prevent the tray from ejecting when the Eject Button is pushed. In this case, use the software application to eject the drive tray.
  4. Disc Tray
The Disc Tray opens and closes automatically when you press the Eject button.
    * When you place a disc in the tray, make sure that the label on the disc is facing upwards. If you are not loading or unloading a disc, the tray should remain closed.
