Removing the Stand
Replacing the Stand

Follow the procedures in Before You Begin .
Remove the computer cover (see Removing the Computer Cover ).
Remove the shield (see Removing the Shield ).
Remove the four screws securing the stand.
Lift the stand away from the computer.
Follow the procedures in Before You Begin .
NOTE: Ensure that you remove the labels from the existing stand and fix them on the new stand.
To replace the stand, align the screw holes on the stand with the screw
holes on the chassis.
Replace the four screws that secure the stand.
Replace the shield (Replacing the Shield ).
Replace the computer cover (see Replacing the Computer Cover ).
