ExpressCard

メモリカードリーダー

ExpressCard

ExpressCard は追加のメモリ、有線およびワイヤレス通信、マルチメディアとセキュリティ機能を提供します。例えば、ExpressCard を使用すると、お使いのコンピュータでワイヤレスワイドエリアネットワーク（WWAN）接続が有効になります。

ExpressCard は 2 種類の形状をサポートしています。

ExpressCard/34（34 mm 幅）
ExpressCard/54（34 mm コネクタ付属の L 字型で 54 mm 幅）

34 mm カードは、34 mm と 54 mm の両方のカードスロットに適用しています。54 mm カードは、54 mm カードスロットのみに適用しています。

サポートされる ExpressCard の情報に関しては、仕様を参照してください。

メモ: ExpressCard は起動可能なデバイスではありません。

ExpressCard のダミーカード

お使いのコンピュータは、ExpressCard カードスロットにプラスチック製のダミーカードが取り付けられて出荷されます。ダミーカードは、埃や他の異物から未使用のスロットを保護します。他のコンピュータのダミーカードは、お使いのコンピュータとサイズが合わないことがありますので、スロットに ExpressCard を取り付けない時のためにダミーカードを保管しておきます。

ExpressCard を取り付ける前に、ダミーカードを取り外します。ダミーカードを取り外すには、ExpressCard またはダミーカードの取り外しを参照してください。

ExpressCard の取り付け

コンピュータが稼働中に、ExpressCard を取り付けることができます。コンピュータは自動的にカードを検出します。

通常、ExpressCard は、カード上面にスロットへの挿入方向を示す矢印や三角形などが描かれているか、ラベルが付いています。カードは一方向にしか挿入できないように設計されています。カードの挿入方向がわからない場合は、カードに付属のマニュアルを参照してください。

ExpressCard を取り付けるには、以下の手順を実行します。

カードの表を上にして持ちます。
PC カードコネクタにカードが完全に収まるまで、カードをスロットにスライドします。

カードがきちんと入らないときは、無理にカードを押し込まないでください。カードの向きが合っているかを確認して再度試してみてください。

ExpressCard

コンピュータは ExpressCard を認識して、自動的に適切なデバイスドライバをロードします。設定プログラムで製造元のドライバをロードするように表示されたら、ExpressCard に付属のメディアを使用します。

ExpressCard またはダミーカードの取り外し

ラッチを押してカードまたはダミーカードを取り外します。一部のラッチでは、ラッチを 2 回押す必要があります。1 回目でラッチが外れ、2 回目でカードが出てきます。

スロットに ExpressCard を取り付けないときのためにダミーカードを保管しておきます。ダミーカードは、埃や他の異物から未使用のスロットを保護します。

メモリカードリーダー

メモリカードリーダーは、メモリカードに保存したデジタル写真、音楽、およびビデオを素早く手軽に表示したり共有する方法を提供します。

メモ: メモリカードは、起動可能なデバイスではありません。

メモリカードのダミーカード

お使いのコンピュータは、メモリカードリーダーにプラスチック製のダミーカードが取り付けられて出荷されます。ダミーカードは、埃や他の異物から未使用のスロットを保護します。スロットにメディアメモリカードを取り付けないときのためにダミーカードを保管しておきます。他のコンピュータのダミーカードは、お使いのコンピュータには合わない場合があります。

メディアメモリカードを取り付ける前に、ダミーカードを取り外してください。ダミーカードを取り外すには、メモリカードまたはダミーカードの取り外しを参照してください。

メモリカードの取り付け

メディアメモリカードは、コンピュータの実行中に取り付けることができます。コンピュータは自動的にカードを検出します。

メモリカードは、通常、カード上面にスロットへの挿入方向を示す記号（三角形や矢印など）またはラベルが示されています。カードは一方向にしか挿入できないように設計されています。カードの挿入方向がわからない場合は、カードに付属のマニュアルを参照してください。

注意: コンピュータからカードを取り外す前に、メモリカード設定ユーティリティを使用して（タスクトレイにある

アイコンをクリック）、カードを選択し、その動作を停止してください。設定ユーティリティでカードの動作を停止しないでカードを取り外すと、データを失う恐れがあります。

カードをスロットの方向に押してカードリーダーからリリースします。一部分がスロットの外に出たら、カードを取り外します。
