Dell™ Latitude™ D810 Service Manual

The Dell Latitude D810 is available in two different configurations. 

Latitude D810 with ATI Mobility Radeon X300

To determine the computer’s configuration, look for the PPID number, which is located on a label in the battery compartment beneath the main battery.  

Before removing the main battery:

  1. Disconnect the modem from the telephone wall jack.
  2. Ensure that the computer is turned off and disconnected from the electrical outlet.
  3. If the computer is connected to a docking device (docked), undock it.

To view the PPID number:

  1. Slide and hold the battery-bay latch release on the bottom of the computer, and then remove the battery from the bay.
  2. Find the PPID label located beneath the main battery. The PPID number is the first number that appears on this label. The first 9 characters identify the configuration of the computer.
 

Match the first 9 characters of the PPID label to a model in the table below.
