CAUTION: Before you begin any of the procedures in this section, follow the safety instructions in the Product Information Guide. |
- Follow the procedures in Before You Begin.
- Turn the computer over.
- Remove the device security screw, if installed.
- Using a plastic scribe, push the notch to release the optical drive from the
bay.
- Slide the optical drive out of the bay.

- Slide the optical drive into the bay.
- Turn the computer over.
- Replace and tighten the device security screw, as needed.
